At Nørhaven A/S we make an effort to decrease our environmental impact as much as possible. Specifically by bringing our waste management in to focus, by implementing measures to limit discharge of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and furthermore through our certifications from FSC and the Nordic Swan.

We assess the conditions of our production continuously in order to point out areas where it is possible or necessary to initiate purposive measures to improve environmentally.

As a customer you can make an environmental difference by choosing to mark your product with FSC and/or the Nordic Swan. In the following you can read more about the certifications Norhaven offers. Please remember that you are more than welcome to contact us for a personal guidance on how to mark your specific product.


Nørhaven A/S is the holder of a FSC Chain-of-custody certificate. FSC is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization which promotes responsible management of the world’s forests.

A Chain-of-custody certificate ensures traceability throughout the chain from forest to end-user. When buying a FSC-certified product you support people, animals and plants all over the world. Through sustainable forestry FSC guarantees that no more trees are felled than the forest itself can reproduce. Furthermore FSC ensures that people working in the forests are educated, given the right safety equipment and reasonable wages.

Therefore we encourage you to choose FSC and make a difference!

Our certificate is issued by Rainforest Alliance, an American NGO (Non-governmental organization) which among other things operates on certification of sustainable forestry and agriculture around the world.

This gives us opportunity to offer our customers labelling of FSC-products with the well-known Rainforest Alliance Certified label, along with the FSC label.
